What will we do

This masterclass is an opportunity to celebrate places where we find ourselves the happiest at- it can be where live or a place that you love travelling to or one that exists in only memory. Working with a map of your choice, you will learn to develop a drawing of the map, transfer your drawing on to fabric, use a variety of  stitches to embroider your map. Taking inspiration from objects, photographs, maps and ephemera we will add motifs and patterns to the map.

This course is suitable for beginners and those who wish to develop their creative skills further.

Ekta will demonstrate all stitches & processes and offer individual help and feedback to guide you. The emphasis will be on developing your personal ideas.  By the end of the masterclass you will have the skills and confidence to develop your map project further.

A materials pack including fabric and threads will be sent to you. There be acharge of £5 for UK,£15 EU, £20 North America to cover shipping.
