06 Jul Textile Art Workshop at St Thomas’s Primary School
This month I had the pleasure of visiting St Thomas’ Primary School in West London to talk to the Year 1 children about my practice and do an art project with them using eco-printing and stitch. Over two days we used locally foraged plants and flowers to eco-print fabrics with natural patterns, before embroidering them with simple leaf motifs. It was wonderful to see how enthusiastically the children took to printing and dyeing. I was so impressed with their creativity, willingness to learn and their tenacity. It was so satisfying to see them engaging with art and nature.
